Such a beautiful place and there is always a friendly face to greet you. Today, I ordered a ham and pesto sandwich and the BLT tortellini pasta salad and they were both delicious! The coffee is also really good. You will not regret visiting Fonks.
Tried Fonks for the first time today and was extremely impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. I had the spicy club, chipotle pasta, and a caramel moch. Everything was great and the spicy club was probably the best panini I’ve ever had. The dishes, cutlery, furniture and just overall decor and environment was enchanting and cozy with plenty of room. Additionally, the service was phenomenal. My family and I will definitely be frequenting this place in the future!
While we love Fonks - it's the staff that makes this place so wonderful. Amy and her team are kind, spirited, and ready to serve their community! As a fellow business owner in this community, I have greatly appreciated their push to bring this beautiful building to better than was, while utilizing local businesses and contractors in the process. They have a heart for this town and it shows in everything they do!
Nice cafe in downtown Colfax with great staff. The corn chowder is especially good, as is the grilled cheese.
Fantastic cafe all around from food and drinks to atmosphere to kind and friendly service! I’d seriously consider staying in Colfax over Pullman just to enjoy this place every day ( except Sunday)!

Welcomed by the smiling and friendly owner ( we found out) and was pleased with selection of house made pastries. The atmosphere was great in this little town... the decor and ambience of the cafe was modern with charm and style. Loved how pastries were warmed without asking and served with real plates and silverware ( not plastic for those environmentally conscious) highly recommend on stopping on your way to WSU and relax with a cup of coffee or tea! Thank you! And the gluten friendly conscious they had 2 options and vegan as well
